MCloud - A cloud manufacturing solution
Manufacturing is shifting to a decentralized collaboration environment with a high-level uncertainty in market demands, business processes, and production facilities. Future manufacturing requires a hyper-connected production network that work autonomously to deliver rapid production of highly customised products at changing scales. MCloud, developed at The University of Auckland, is an online cloud manufacturing enviornment that can enable intelligent manufacturing collaboration.
MCloud utilises the latest Semantic Web technologies to empower the system to think and make decisions. We developed a comprehensive ontology for cloud manufacturing to enable this.
